I enjoy walking around the town. One can see such a multitude of people going forth and back, many interesting characters...looking at those faces one can almost decipher their lives. Sometimes I feel uneasy; it is like intruding.

Once in a big crowd of people, I saw a diaphanous creature walking on the sidewalk. I couldn't take my eyes off...there was such an angelic feeling about her...such a transparency, almost unreal. I got to my studio and made a note. Many years later, remembering her, I painted it.
